There’s Love Here...Bedroom Refresh Reveal
We won! This is a challenge isn’t it?!
Well someone has to win and in one way or another, each participant is a winner. My win is defined by my ability to stay on time and on budget. I also feel triumphant in that I’ve worked with color in a manner atypical of my aesthetic. I pushed myself and for that I give myself a huge “GO GIRL”.
The space remained structurally the same and color became the focus. The book nook where I do my best work, was given a refresh with wallpaper, plants and a side table. What was once a mundane room is alive and filled with love again!
Let’s Talk Money
I wanted to keep this refresh under $500*. We spent $385 on paint, wallpaper and supplies through last week. This week, I grabbed lamps, picture hooks and a few other accessories totaling $111. This brings my grand total to $496.
I want to encourage you to use items you already have in your home, garage or those pieces in the trunk that you’re hiding from your boo. You can also thrift your way to a new space. Upcycle…bargain hunt…all of it. Yes, I design 4 & 5 figure spaces for a living…and yes, I bargain hunt. You can mix high and low for a well designed space with little to no support from a Designer.

Mary Stewart encouraged me to participate and was wealth of knowledge throughout the process. She’s an ORC vet and helped me paint the space.
Kiyonda and Whitney were both participants who cheered me on week after week. Be sure to check out their rooms.
My reliable, handy and enthusiastic tradesmen are gems and make this and all of my professional projects run with such ease! Linda and her weekly emails were super informative and timely.
…and you-yes you! You’re the real rock star for being here!
Take good care!

I kept to my budget by up cylcing items I had in my home. The silk and bamboo Anthropologie rug alone retails for over $2,000. The vintage mirror and stool…$1,000 a piece. If you have gems like this in your home and want support piecing these items together for a cohesive look, book a strategy session with me and I can provide personalized tips just for you to achieve the space of your dreams.
