The Green Room at Wakefield Artist in Residence Initiative provides an opportunity for creatives to explore Philadelphia at no cost. This 2 day / 3 night program includes lodging and 2 hours of studio time daily as well as the chance to connect with like minded artists.
Love donations in the form of art, books or dollars are welcomed here.
Our first artist in residence, Nicole Crowder, an incredibly talented upholsterer from Washington, D.C. said this, “It’s a wonderful respite for creatives. The opportunity to think and move at my own pace without distractions is just what I needed“

You can do that too.
Once a month, we’ll open both our home and personal studio to an exceptional artist. The residency is open to creatives to designers, entrepreneurs, writers and the like. While there is an itinerary, it’s written in pencil. We will work to craft a schedule that works best for you and your needs.
